Tile Cleaning Port Ludlow
A couple of weeks ago Clean Grout Northwest did a tile cleaning and a shower restoration in Port Ludlow. It was a ten year old beautiful home on the golf course, however the caulking in the shower needed to be removed and replaced. Tile is loved for it’s beauty and durability, but caulking and grout can grow old and need what we consider a shower “tune up.” The master bathroom also had a marble vanity top that had etch marks and was looking dull from years of use. We were able to clean this and polish the marble making it much ...
Bainbridge Island Tile and Grout Cleaning
A few days ago I received a phone call from a General Contract on Bainbridge Island that has used us a couple of times for some tile cleaning jobs on Bainbridge Island. He let me know, “I may have a job for you, do you have anything to clean fiberglass shower pans and hard water off of glass doors?” “I sure do.” The story behind this job is that the homeowner had lived in the house for it’s first 10 years of existence but then was relocated halfway across the country by his company. He rented the house out to some “friends” ...
At Clean Grout Northwest we specialize in Tile & Grout Cleaning and Sealing to the residential and commercial markets. We understand how difficult grout can be to keep clean and to get clean once it has been stained. We provide state of the art tile cleaning and sealing using new technology to literally pressure wash and blast dirt and grime away at over 1,000 PSI.
We have a vast knowledge of various sealers including our Colorseal, color stain process that allows us to change the color of your grout to a color that may better suit the color of your tile.
We are located in Poulsbo Washington but also service all of Kitsap County, including Bainbridge Island, Kingston, Hansville, Silverdale, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Gig Harbor, Seabeck, Port Ludlow and beyond.
If you happen to live on the Seattle side of the water we are also able to hop on the ferry and come over and service your tile cleaning needs as well.
Q.What is "colorsealed" grout and why do I want it?
Colorsealed grout not only looks new but resists stains better than clear sealed grout. Grout that has been cleaned with harsh cleaners can become blotchy and ugly. Colorsealing will make it look like new again. Sometimes high contrast grout colors make a room appear small especially with small tiles. Colorsealing witha neutral color can make the tile seem larger and eliminate the picture framing effect.
Solid Surface Countertops such as Granite and Marble continue to be a popular choice. Many homeowners have learned that beyond the beauty and strength, this stone can be porous and can stain. The fad home improvement television shows have educated the public to seal granite "every year"or "every six months", but this can grow to be burdensome and expensive.
Clean Grout Northwest uses a Sealer that does not need to be reapplied year after year. In fact we can give you a written warranty that your granite will not stain or need resealing for 15 years and will back it up. If your granite does get a stain and you cannot remove it we will remove it for you, free of cost.
Regular maintenance is still required and spills still need to be cleaned up, but this Sealer is very powerful hence we would not make such claims.
We also have other sealers that are of high quality but may better suit your needs and budget, including different enhancers and impregnating sealers.
Other areas in your home that may have stone including fireplaces, showers, backsplashes and floors we can professionally clean and seal with a variety of products to fit your particular needs.
Does your custom tile shower not look as good as it use to?
Do you have mold growing in your caulking and on your grout?
Is Hard Water build up on your glass shower doors driving you crazy?
Is your caulking missing or cracking out?
We at Clean Grout Northwest have the solution for you. We have a process that allows us to restore your shower, your grout, your caulking, and remove hard water build up and can leave your shower looking as good as new in usually less than 2 days. We have saved our customers literally thousands and thousands of dollars on replacement costs through this process.
Over time the grout and caulking in a shower deteriorates due to moisture, and often times too harsh of cleaning chemicals such as BLEACH. Grout often will start to crack and even fall out since it has lost it's strength.
When this happens often the tile is still in good condition but the grout needs to be removed and replaced with new grout.
Clean Grout Northwest has the proper tools and training to remove the grout, disinfect, regrout, recaulk and seal the grout to make it not only look like NEW, but help it to stay that way for years to come.
Glass shower enclosures have become exceedingly more popular over the standard shower curtain. With the pesky hard water deposits, unsightly stains accumulate and are difficult to remove. Occasionally my wife puts our one shower curtain through the washer. If only it were that simple with glass doors!
Never mind the washer. Clean Grout Northwest has a process that removes the stubborn spots. We also provide a glass sealer , a quite similar affect that rain-x has on the windshield of your car. We can actually polish out some small scratches and remove all of the hard water spots leaving your glass shower doors looking like new!
We also can polish your fixtures, metal tracking, and the hard water spots on your ceramic or porcelain tile.
*For stone showers we cannot use the same method, but may be able to use polishing diamonds to restore your marble, limestone, or granite.
Slippery when wet! Some tiles are slick with water and in today's world can cost commercial business establishments thousands of dollars in legal fees. Clean Grout Northwest has started to offer anti-slip treatments. Our product will go on clear and is virtually invisible on most tile surfaces but when wet has amazing anti slip performance qualities.
We recently had the pleasure of completely restoring a large walk in shower in a beautiful home in Gig Harbor. The homeowners had real concerns that the shower was going to need to be torn out and completely remodeled because mold had taken over it. They had heard that there are certain products not to use on stone (which is true), but this fear had caused them to do pretty much nothing. The build up of mold was one...Read more of this article
Since we attended a 4 day granite, marble, limestone polishing and sealing training class last June we have been polishing granite countertops all over Bainbridge Island. The hard water deposits that build up around the kitchen sink ( the cloudy looking stuff that makes your kitchen granite countertops really dull) are a thing of the past once we have removed them with a polisher and the correct stone cleaning compound. When...Read more of this article
The amount of tile and stone installed in Bremerton has grown dramatically over the past 10 years, especially during the boom of the mid 2000’s. In Early December I got a call for a shower restoration on a home that was less than 4 years old on the south end of Bainbridge Island’s Fort Ward area. This custom tile shower which actually ended up being a very nice steam shower needed a lot of attention. There was soap scum and efflorescence on the shower pan tile and grout that needed to be scrubbed off. The original installers had put siliconized acrylic...Read more of this article

On Monday March 28 I got to do one of favorite and most rewarding jobs, a tile and grout clean and colorseal. The job was located in Poulsbo Washington and it worked out great because the job was less than a 1/4 mile from my personal residence and was the grandmother of a friend that I graduated high school with and have known since I was in 2nd grade. The job itself was 570 S.F. of ceramic tile on a brick pattern. The...Read more of this article
A couple of months ago I got a call from a homeowner in Gig Harbor asking about tile and grout cleaning. After a few minutes I had learned that she had over 1,000 S.F. of slate tiles and that they were selling their home and wanted to have it all cleaned before they put their home on the market. I agreed that that was a great idea and am often asked to spruce up showers and floors before an open house and listing. Slate...Read more of this article
This is one of my best sets of before and afters for a tile and grout cleaning, colorseal job that I have done. The tile itself was not very dirty do to this particular tiles non-porous nature, but the grout was very soiled, and being a white grout showed the dirt quite well. I do not have the picture of the grout after I cleaned it, but the picture below is after the grout was sealed with a white colorseal. The grout...Read more of this article
On March 10 I did a shower tile and grout cleaning, and hard water removal on a master shower in a beautiful waterfront home on Bainbridge Island. My clients were concerned that their entire shower was going to need to be torn out and redone, costing in the area of $4,000-8,000.00 The shower door was very foggy due to hard water spots, and the grout on the shower pan had soap scum build up and was discolored. Through the...Read more of this article
